Post Publication Discussion
Applied Information System and Management (AISM) welcomes scholarly discussion of the articles it publishes. Post-publication discussion helps to clarify, test, and build on published findings, and to identify errors. This page explains how readers can take part and how the journal handles their contributions.
Ways to Take Part
| Comment on an article | A short scholarly comment on a published article, sent to the editorial office for possible publication with a reply from the authors (see below). |
| Question to the authors | Readers may contact the corresponding author directly, using the email address printed on the article. |
| Report of an error | Readers who find an error may report it to the Editor in Chief; it is handled under the Erratum and Corrigendum policy. |
| Concern about misconduct | Concerns about plagiarism, data manipulation, or other misconduct are handled confidentially under the Research Misconduct policy and are not published as comments. |
| Discussion on other platforms | AISM follows discussion of its articles on external platforms, such as PubPeer or academic social networks, and responds to substantive concerns raised there. |
Comments on Published Articles
A comment should:
- refer to an article published in AISM, normally within 12 months of its publication;
- address the scientific content of the article, such as its methods, data, analysis, or conclusions, and be supported by evidence and references;
- be written in English, in a respectful and professional tone, with no more than 1000 words and 30 references;
- include the commenter's full name, affiliation, and email address; anonymous comments are not published; and
- declare any conflict of interest, as set out in the Conflict of Interest policy.
Comments are sent to aism.journal@apps.uinjkt.ac.id with the subject line "Comment on [article title]".
How Comments Are Handled
Comments and replies are not research articles and are not counted among the research articles of an issue.
Moderation
The editors do not publish comments that contain personal attacks, defamatory or offensive statements, unsupported allegations of misconduct, commercial promotion, or material that repeats points already published. The Editor in Chief's decision on publishing a comment is final.
