Journal History

Applied Information System and Management (AISM) was established by the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, as a scientific journal for applied research on Information Systems and Information Systems Management. The first issue, Volume 1 Number 1, was published in 2018. Since then, AISM has published two regular issues every year, in May and October, without interruption.

Throughout its history, the journal's name, e-ISSN 2621-2540, p-ISSN 2621-2536, publisher, and field of study have remained the same. AISM is currently accredited SINTA 2 under Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024 (see Accreditation).

Milestones

Year Milestone
2018 First issue, Vol. 1 No. 1, published on Open Journal Systems (OJS) version 2. The journal is registered with e-ISSN 2621-2540 and p-ISSN 2621-2536.
[YEAR] Platform migrated from OJS 2 to OJS 3. All published issues, articles, and metadata were transferred to the new platform (see Platform Migration).
2022 Each issue begins to report the number of articles, authors, and authors' countries in its issue description.
2024 Accredited SINTA 2 under Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024 dated 15 October 2024, valid from Vol. 6 No. 2 (2023) to Vol. 11 No. 1 (2028).
2025 Number of articles per issue increased from 8 to 20, starting with Vol. 8 No. 1 (2025). A new author fee policy applies to manuscripts submitted from 1 June 2025.
[YEAR] Platform upgraded to OJS 3.4.
2026 Journal policies revised in line with Regulation of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology No. 9 of 2026 on the Accreditation of Scientific Journals, including new policies on generative AI, conflict of interest, research misconduct, and data availability.

Platform Migration from OJS 2 to OJS 3

AISM was first published on OJS version 2 and migrated to OJS version 3 in [MONTH YEAR]. The migration was carried out to improve the submission and review workflow, metadata quality, and accessibility of the journal, and was later followed by an upgrade to OJS 3.4. The migration did not change the journal's name, ISSN, publisher, focus and scope, or the content of any published issue.

  • All issues from Vol. 1 No. 1 (2018) onward remain available as full text in the Archives.
  • Article metadata (titles, authors, affiliations, abstracts, keywords, and references) were transferred without alteration.
  • Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) with the prefix 10.15408/aism were updated to resolve to the article pages on the current platform.
  • Original publication dates, volume and issue numbers, and page numbers were preserved.
  • Editorial and peer review records were [migrated to the current system / retained in the journal's editorial archive].

Declaration of Publication Continuity and Archive Integrity

The Editorial Board and the publisher of Applied Information System and Management (AISM) declare that:

  1. AISM has been published continuously since Vol. 1 No. 1 (2018) under the same name, e-ISSN 2621-2540, p-ISSN 2621-2536, and publisher, the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The migration from OJS 2 to OJS 3 and the upgrade to OJS 3.4 were changes of publishing platform only and did not create a new journal.
  2. Every article published since 2018 remains accessible as full text at its own URL, with its metadata and DOI preserved and traceable.
  3. No article has been inserted into an issue after its official publication, no published article has been removed without a public notice, and no publication date, metadata, or citation has been altered during or after the migration.
  4. Any correction or retraction of a published article is made public through a correction or retraction notice linked to the original article, in accordance with the journal's Retraction and Erratum and Corrigendum policies.
  5. Any future change to the journal's name, e-ISSN, publisher, affiliation, focus and scope, website address, or publication frequency will be reported to the Directorate General responsible for journal accreditation and announced on this page.
