Data Sharing & Accessibility

Jurnal Indo-Islamika is committed to promoting transparency, accessibility, and responsible management of research data to strengthen scholarly credibility and the reproducibility or verifiability of research findings. The journal encourages authors to make relevant research materials available whenever ethically and legally permissible, following the principles of Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability (FAIR). Research data may include quantitative datasets, textual sources, archival documents, methodological instruments, analytical frameworks, and other supporting materials essential to understanding published findings.

Authors are encouraged to provide a clear Data Availability Statement indicating whether supporting data are publicly accessible, available upon reasonable request, subject to specific restrictions, or not applicable to the research. Where appropriate, datasets may be deposited in recognized institutional or disciplinary repositories with stable access links or persistent identifiers. Authors remain responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, appropriate attribution, and lawful sharing of their research materials.

Recognizing the methodological diversity of Islamic studies, humanities, and social sciences, Jurnal Indo-Islamika acknowledges that certain research materials, particularly confidential interviews, ethnographic records, sensitive religious information, and restricted archival documents, cannot always be publicly disclosed. In such circumstances, authors should explain the relevant limitations while providing sufficient methodological information to support scholarly evaluation without compromising confidentiality, participant consent, or applicable legal obligations.

The editorial team may request clarification regarding data availability when necessary to assess the transparency and reliability of submitted research. Restrictions on data sharing do not automatically preclude publication when they are appropriately justified. Through this policy, Jurnal Indo-Islamika seeks to balance scholarly openness, responsible data stewardship, and ethical protection across diverse research traditions.
