Open Access Policy
Open Access Policy
Promoting unrestricted access to psychological research and supporting the global exchange of scholarly knowledge.
TAZKIYA Journal of Psychology provides immediate open access to its published content. The journal upholds the principle that making scholarly research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge, strengthens academic collaboration, and facilitates the dissemination and application of psychological research.
All published articles are freely accessible to readers without subscription fees or payment for reading and downloading. This policy is aligned with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which advocates broader access to scholarly literature.
Open Knowledge Without Subscription Barriers
TAZKIYA supports the free dissemination of psychological knowledge to researchers, students, educators, practitioners, institutions, policymakers, and the wider public.
1. Immediate and Free Access
TAZKIYA makes its published articles available online immediately upon publication. Readers may access, read, and download the full text of published articles without registration fees, subscription charges, or other payment for reading access.
Access is available to individuals and institutions regardless of geographical location, institutional affiliation, or ability to pay. The journal aims to reduce barriers to scholarly information and support the circulation of psychological research in Indonesia and internationally.
2. Reader Rights and Permitted Use
In accordance with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative, readers may access the full text of published articles without subscription barriers. Reading, downloading, searching, and linking to articles are permitted without requesting prior permission for ordinary access activities.
Copying, distributing, printing, reproducing, adapting, or otherwise reusing published material is subject to applicable copyright law and the license stated for the relevant article. Users must provide appropriate attribution to the authors and original publication and must not misrepresent the source or authorship of the material.
The availability of an article free of charge does not automatically mean that every form of reuse is unrestricted. Users should consult the applicable licensing terms before reproducing, adapting, or commercially using published content.
Budapest Open Access Initiative
An international initiative advancing equitable access to scholarly research and knowledge sharing.
3. Copyright and Licensing
Open access concerns the availability of scholarly content, while copyright ownership and reuse permissions are governed by the journal's copyright and licensing terms. Authors and readers should consult TAZKIYA Copyright Notice for information on applicable rights and responsibilities.
Where an article is distributed under a specific open license, users must comply with the conditions of that license, including attribution and any other applicable requirements. This policy does not override the copyright or license terms that apply to an individual article.
Authors remain responsible for ensuring that material included in their manuscripts, such as figures, tables, instruments, and other third-party content, is used with appropriate acknowledgment and permission where required.
4. Publication Fees and Reader Charges
TAZKIYA does not charge readers or institutions for access to published articles. Reading and downloading content through the journal website are free of charge.
Any submission fee, article processing charge, publication fee, or waiver arrangement for authors is governed by the journal's separate fee policy. Authors should consult the official Author Fees page for the applicable terms. Open access and author publication charges are separate matters.
5. Research Dissemination and Scholarly Impact
TAZKIYA supports the dissemination of research findings to encourage scholarly discussion, further investigation, and evidence-informed practice. Open access helps researchers and practitioners discover relevant literature and enables knowledge to circulate across institutional and geographical boundaries.
As a psychology journal, TAZKIYA recognizes the value of making research accessible to academic communities and practitioners who may apply psychological evidence in educational, organizational, social, clinical, and other relevant settings. Such access remains subject to responsible interpretation of research findings and appropriate acknowledgment of the original work.
6. Archiving and Continued Access
TAZKIYA seeks to maintain the availability of its published scholarly record through its journal platform. Information about the journal's digital preservation and archiving arrangements should be consulted through the relevant policies and services identified on the official journal website.
Open access describes the availability of content to readers and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of permanent digital preservation unless supported by specific archiving arrangements. The journal's preservation statements should reflect the services it actually uses.
7. Editorial Independence and Open Access
Open access does not replace the journal's requirements for scholarly quality, peer review, research integrity, or publication ethics. All manuscripts remain subject to TAZKIYA editorial screening and peer-review procedures.
Editorial decisions are based on the scholarly merit of submissions and compliance with journal policies. The availability of open access, the presence or absence of publication charges, and other financial considerations must not substitute for appropriate academic evaluation.
8. Commitment to Open Scholarship
TAZKIYA open access policy reflects its commitment to responsible knowledge sharing, transparency, and the broader dissemination of psychological research. The journal supports the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative while maintaining appropriate standards for attribution, copyright, research integrity, and editorial responsibility.
This policy should be read alongside the journal's publication ethics, copyright, author fees, and other applicable editorial policies. TAZKIYA may review and update its policies as scholarly publishing standards and journal practices evolve.
Open Knowledge for Everyone
TAZKIYA is committed to making psychological scholarship accessible to readers while respecting authorship, copyright, licensing terms, and responsible scholarly reuse.
