Author Guidelines

Tazkiya Journal of Psychology publishes scholarly works that contribute to the advancement of psychological knowledge and practice. Authors are invited to submit original research articles, theoretical papers, and literature reviews relevant to the journal's Focus and Scope.

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that their work meets the following requirements.

1. Scope and Originality

The manuscript must be relevant to the aims and scope of Tazkiya Journal of Psychology. Submissions must be original, have not been previously published, and must not be under consideration by another journal.

2. Language and Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be written in English using clear, formal, and academically appropriate language. Authors must follow the journal's official manuscript template and formatting requirements provided in the Author Guidelines.

3. Manuscript Structure

Research articles should include appropriate sections, such as the title, abstract, keywords, introduction, method, results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgments where applicable, and references. The structure of theoretical papers and literature reviews may be adjusted according to the nature of the manuscript.

4. Citations and References

All in-text citations and references must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) Publication Manual, 7th edition. Authors should ensure that every in-text citation appears in the reference list and that every reference listed is cited in the manuscript. DOI links should be included whenever available.

5. Research Ethics

Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical standards. Authors should provide information about ethical approval and informed consent when relevant to their research design and institutional requirements.

6. Plagiarism and Publication Ethics

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of research misconduct. All sources, quotations, and adapted materials must be appropriately acknowledged. Authors must also disclose relevant conflicts of interest and funding sources.

7. Authorship and Use of Generative AI

All listed authors must have made meaningful contributions to the research or manuscript and must approve the submitted version. The use of generative artificial intelligence tools must be disclosed when required by the journal's applicable policy. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their submissions.

8. Peer Review

Manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial assessment and, when considered suitable, peer review in accordance with the journal's Peer Review Process. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal. Any exceptional circumstances must be disclosed in the Comments to the Editor.

  • The submission file is provided in an accepted Microsoft Word document format (.doc or .docx), in accordance with the journal's manuscript preparation requirements.

  • Where available, DOI links or URLs for references have been provided.

  • The manuscript follows the formatting requirements specified in the journal's Author Guidelines, including font, spacing, headings, tables, figures, and other manuscript elements.

  • All in-text citations and references follow the American Psychological Association (APA) Publication Manual, 7th edition.

  • The manuscript is written in English and has been checked for grammatical accuracy, clarity, and academic presentation.

  • The manuscript is relevant to the aims and scope of Tazkiya Journal of Psychology.

  • All authors have approved the submitted manuscript and agree to its submission to the journal.

  • Relevant research ethics approval, informed consent, funding sources, and conflicts of interest are disclosed where applicable.

  • The manuscript properly acknowledges all sources and complies with the journal's publication ethics and plagiarism policies.

  • Any use of generative artificial intelligence is disclosed in accordance with the journal's applicable policy, and the authors remain responsible for the manuscript's content.

  • If the manuscript is submitted to a peer-reviewed section, the instructions for ensuring a blind review have been followed. Author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and other identifying information have been removed from the review manuscript where required.

  • The manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the journal's Author Guidelines and other applicable journal policies.
