MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION GUIDELINES
1. Title
The title should clearly represent the principal topic, variables, or research problem. It must be written in uppercase and contain no more than 12 words. Authors should avoid unnecessary abbreviations and wording that does not contribute to the meaning of the study.
2. Author Names and Affiliations
Provide the full names of all authors, their institutional affiliations, and the corresponding author's email address in the submission metadata and manuscript as required by the template. Author order should be agreed upon by all contributors before submission. Academic titles should be handled consistently with the journal template.
3. Abstract
An abstract must be provided in English and Indonesian, each containing 200–250 words. Each abstract should summarize the research background, objective, method, principal findings, and conclusion. It should be understandable on its own and should not contain unnecessary citations, unexplained abbreviations, or information that is not supported by the manuscript.
4. Keywords
Provide keywords that represent the main concepts, variables, population, or research context. Keywords should complement rather than simply repeat the entire title and must be arranged alphabetically. Follow the number and presentation of keywords specified in the official template, if applicable.
5. Introduction
The Introduction should establish the significance of the research problem and explain the theoretical and empirical context of the study. Authors should synthesize relevant previous research, identify inconsistencies or gaps in the literature, and explain how the current study addresses those gaps. The section should conclude with clearly stated research objectives and hypotheses or research questions where appropriate.
The introduction should be analytical rather than a list of disconnected summaries. Citations should support the argument and demonstrate the relevance of the research. Claims about novelty and contribution must be justified by the literature reviewed.
6. Method
The Method section must provide sufficient information for readers to evaluate the appropriateness of the research and understand how it was conducted. Depending on the study design, include the following elements.
- Research design. Identify the quantitative design and explain why it is suitable for the research objectives.
- Participants and sampling. Describe the target population, sample size, sampling technique, recruitment procedure, and relevant participant characteristics. Explain the inclusion and exclusion criteria where applicable.
- Research instruments. Identify the instruments used to measure each variable, their sources, item or dimension structure, response format, scoring procedure, and relevant validity and reliability evidence.
- Data collection. Explain the data collection procedure, setting, timing, and steps taken to ensure the completeness and quality of the data.
- Statistical analysis. Identify the statistical techniques and software used. Explain how the analyses address the research questions or hypotheses and report relevant assumption checks and model evaluation procedures.
- Ethical considerations. Explain how participant consent, confidentiality, privacy, and other applicable ethical requirements were addressed. Provide ethics approval details where required.
7. Results
The Results section should present findings in a logical order corresponding to the research questions or hypotheses. Report relevant descriptive statistics and inferential analyses. Where appropriate, include effect sizes, confidence intervals, probability values, reliability or validity evidence, and model-fit information. Tables and figures should summarize important findings rather than reproduce unnecessary raw statistical output.
Results should be reported transparently, including findings that do not support the original hypotheses. Interpretation and comparison with previous studies should be developed primarily in the Discussion section.
8. Discussion
The Discussion should interpret the findings in relation to the study objectives, theoretical framework, hypotheses, and relevant previous research. Authors should explain the significance of the results, discuss similarities or differences with earlier studies, and identify theoretical or practical implications supported by the evidence.
The discussion should also acknowledge methodological limitations, potential alternative explanations, and boundaries on the generalizability of the findings. Recommendations for future research should follow logically from the results and limitations. Authors should avoid causal claims that are not supported by the research design.
9. Conclusion
The Conclusion should directly address the research objectives and summarize the principal findings and their implications. It should not merely repeat the abstract or introduce new results. Limitations and recommendations may be included in accordance with the manuscript template and should be grounded in the study.
10. Declarations and Acknowledgments
Authors should provide relevant declarations in accordance with the journal's policies and the requirements applicable to their research. These may include author contributions, ethics approval, informed consent, funding, conflicts of interest, data availability, AI-use disclosure, and acknowledgments. A declaration should accurately reflect the circumstances of the research; authors should not include statements that are untrue or unsupported.
11. References
All in-text citations and reference entries must follow APA 7th edition style. Every source cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and every reference-list entry must be cited in the text. Authors should verify author names, publication years, article titles, journal names, volume and issue numbers, page ranges, and DOI or URL information where available.
Authors are encouraged to use relevant, credible, and current scholarly sources, including primary research literature. Reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote may be used to assist with formatting, but the final reference list must be checked manually for accuracy and consistency.
QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH REPORTING
TAZKIYA expects quantitative studies to report their methods and findings transparently. Authors should select analyses that are appropriate for the research questions, measurement properties, sampling strategy, and study design.
- Explain the rationale for the sample size and sampling approach where appropriate.
- Report evidence supporting the reliability and validity of measurement instruments in the study context.
- Describe relevant data screening, missing-data handling, and statistical assumptions.
- Report the statistical procedures and software used with sufficient detail for evaluation.
- Provide appropriate descriptive statistics and inferential results, including effect sizes or confidence intervals where relevant.
- For mediation, moderation, regression, factor analysis, or structural equation modeling, explain the analytical approach and report relevant model estimates and evaluation criteria.
- Distinguish statistical significance from practical significance and avoid causal interpretations that exceed the design.
- Discuss the limitations of the sampling method, measurement instruments, design, and generalizability where applicable.
TABLES AND FIGURES
- Number tables and figures consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text.
- Provide concise and informative titles and label all columns, axes, symbols, and measurement units clearly.
- Refer to each table and figure in the manuscript text.
- Present statistical results in a readable form and explain abbreviations or special notation in notes where necessary.
- Avoid duplicating the same information in the text, tables, and figures without a clear reason.
- Identify the source of reproduced or adapted material and obtain permission where required.
- Ensure that all visual material is legible and consistent with the official manuscript template.
APPENDICES AND SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIAL
Appendices or supplementary materials may be used for information that supports the article but is too extensive for the main text. Depending on the study and the journal's submission requirements, these materials may include additional tables, research instruments, supplementary analyses, or other supporting documentation. Authors must ensure that supplementary materials do not disclose confidential participant information or violate applicable ethical, privacy, or copyright requirements.
PUBLICATION ETHICS AND ORIGINALITY
Authors must comply with the journal's publication ethics and research-integrity policies. Plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data, inappropriate duplicate publication, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and inaccurate attribution of authorship are unacceptable. Authors must ensure that the work is original, sources are acknowledged appropriately, and all research findings are represented honestly.
Any use of generative artificial intelligence must comply with the journal's applicable AI policy. Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the submitted manuscript, including the verification of AI-assisted text, references, and interpretations. AI systems must not be listed as authors.
Please consult the journal's dedicated policies for detailed provisions on plagiarism, publication ethics, authorship, AI use, conflicts of interest, open access, copyright, and corrections or retractions.
