Authorship Criteria

AHKAM: Jurnal Ilmu Syariah recognizes authorship as an important academic responsibility that reflects both substantial scholarly contributions and accountability for published research. To ensure transparency, academic integrity, and fairness in the publication process, all individuals listed as authors of a manuscript submitted to AHKAM must meet all four of the following criteria:

1. Substantial Contributions

Each author must have made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the research, or to the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of the research data, materials, or relevant scholarly sources.

2. Drafting or Critical Revision

Each author must have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for significant intellectual and scholarly content.

3. Final Approval

Each author must have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript before its submission or publication and agreed to take responsibility for the version to be published.

4. Accountability and Research Integrity

Each author must agree to be accountable for all aspects of the research and publication process, ensuring that any questions concerning the accuracy, validity, or integrity of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Authorship Policy

Individuals who have contributed to the research but do not meet all four authorship criteria should not be listed as authors. Their contributions may instead be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section, with their consent.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors meet the authorship criteria, that the author order has been agreed upon by all authors, and that all authors have approved the submitted manuscript and its final version.

Any changes to the authorship list, including the addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after submission, must be justified and approved by all authors involved. Such changes are subject to the approval of the Editorial Board.

AHKAM: Jurnal Ilmu Syariah does not recognize honorary, guest, or gift authorship. All authors must make genuine scholarly contributions to the submitted work and accept responsibility for its academic integrity.

This policy is intended to uphold responsible authorship, prevent disputes over authorship, and maintain the credibility and ethical standards of scholarly publications.
