Jurnal Ilmu Sosial Indonesia (JISI) is an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP), Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The journal serves as an academic platform for the dissemination of high-quality research addressing contemporary theoretical, empirical, and applied issues within the broad fields of social and political sciences.

JISI welcomes original research articles that critically examine social, political, institutional, cultural, and public issues in contemporary societies and broader global contexts. The journal encourages interdisciplinary perspectives and methodologically rigorous studies that contribute to scholarly debates, policy development, and the advancement of knowledge in the social sciences.

The journal covers a wide range of academic areas, including political science, sociology, anthropology, international relations, public administration, cultural studies, and gender studies. These areas include, but are not limited to, governance, public policy, democratization, social inequality, social change, community development, cultural dynamics, socio-cultural transformation, global politics, foreign policy, public service management, identity, diversity, social justice, and gender relations.

As an open-access journal, JISI provides free and immediate access to all published articles, supporting wider readership, academic visibility, and citation potential. To ensure the quality, integrity, and fairness of its editorial process, all submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review system involving qualified reviewers with relevant expertise.
