The Journal of Legal Research (Print ISSN 2715-7172, Online ISSN 2715-7164) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed legal journal and scholarly journal with national and international perspectives, published by Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Indonesia. The journal aims to disseminate information and views on matters related to legal research, including developments in case law and legislation, as well as proposals for legal reform from legislative institutions and other relevant institutions or individuals. The journal publishes legal research in various forms, including articles, cases, legislation, notes and commentaries, and book reviews, on themes related to legal research that offer in-depth commentary on Indonesian law and comparative law. The journal is published twice a year.
The Journal of Legal Research is strongly committed to responding to and meeting the growing demand among academics, legislators, and legal practitioners in the private and public sectors for a forum that presents authoritative views on legal reform in Indonesia, Asia, and the world. Another related objective is to provide a systematic review of important legal reform initiatives and legal practice. The Journal of Legal Research publishes cutting-edge legal studies from legal academics and practitioners. Founded in 2019, the journal is rooted in the desire to present legal research as a vehicle for national legal reform.
