Focus and Scope

The Journal of Legal Research is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal that provides an international academic platform for legal research on law reform, with particular attention to the interaction between state law, Islamic law, and customary law in Indonesia and other legal systems around the world.

The journal publishes original and substantive legal scholarship, using doctrinal, empirical, socio-legal, and comparative approaches, in fields including, but not limited to:
