Abstract. This study maps the bibliometric landscape of scholarly publications on gender inequality in education and scientific discourse, treating the corpus of indexed publications as the unit of analysis. Metadata were obtained from Scopus, Springer, and OpenAlex for the 2021–2026 period. Following deduplication, screening, and eligibility assessment, 619 articles were retained from 57,563 initial records. Thematic evolution analysis identifies “inequality” as the most persistent central theme (frequency = 162), followed by “psychology” (85) and “economics” (69). Themes explicitly related to gender inequality are positioned within the Basic Themes quadrant, indicating strong connections with the broader research field but comparatively lower internal thematic development. Co-occurrence analysis identifies four major clusters linking gender inequality with sociology and gender studies, psychology and education, economics and human capital, and governance and poverty. Author productivity displays a Lotka-type pattern dominated by single-document contributors (96.7%), while the United States, Pakistan, Indonesia, and China show the highest publication counts in the country-level analysis. These findings demonstrate the interdisciplinary character of gender inequality research and identify areas in which more focused empirical investigation is needed, particularly in educational settings.
