Only those papers that are considered potentially relevant and promising for the journal’s readership are sent for external review. Peer-Reviewer Selection
Reviewer selection is an essential part of the publication process. Reviewers are chosen based on expertise, academic reputation, field relevance, recommendations, and prior experience in scholarly evaluation. Before a manuscript is sent for review, the journal carefully considers whether the prospective reviewer is suitable for the topic under discussion.
Writing the Review
The review primarily assists editors in determining whether a manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected. Reviewers are also expected, where possible, to offer useful comments that help authors improve their papers. In the case of negative recommendations, reviewers should explain the principal weaknesses of the manuscript so that authors understand the basis of the decision.
Anonymity
The journal applies a double-blind review system, meaning that authors and reviewers remain unknown to one another during the review process. Unless there is a compelling reason otherwise, reviewer identities remain confidential throughout and after the editorial process.
Peer-Review Publication Policies
All contributions submitted to the journal that fall within the journal’s field and meet preliminary editorial standards are subject to peer review. No fewer than two selected reviewers evaluate each manuscript considered suitable for external review. The process is intended to ensure fairness, quality, relevance, and academic credibility in published articles.
Ethics and Security
Editors may seek advice on submitted papers not only from technical reviewers but also on any issue that raises ethical, legal, social, or security concerns. Such matters may involve, for example, ethical treatment of participants, access to data, the use of sensitive materials, or broader societal implications of publication.
In all cases, the final decision on whether a manuscript is accepted for publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the responsible editorial team of the journal.
