About the Journal

Jurnal Ilmu Sosial Indonesia (JISI) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by the Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP), Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The journal is committed to advancing scholarly research on contemporary theoretical and applied issues across the social and political sciences. JISI publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues in the fields of social and political sciences in muslim society, and beyond. The journal covers the following areas:

Political Science: Governance, public policy, political theory, electoral studies, and democratization.

Sociology: Social structures, inequality, social change, and community development.

Anthropology: Cultural dynamics, traditions, and socio-cultural transformations.

International Relations: Global politics, foreign policy, international organizations, and transnational issues.

Public Administration: Bureaucratic governance, public service management, and e-government.

Cultural and Gender Studies: Identity, diversity, social justice, and gender relations.
