Repository and Self-Archiving Policy
Jurnal Ilmu Sosial Indonesia (JISI) supports open scholarly communication and encourages the responsible dissemination of published research through institutional and other scholarly repositories.
This policy sets out the journal’s position on self-archiving and the deposit of articles published in JISI in repositories.
Self-Archiving Rights
Authors who publish in Jurnal Ilmu Sosial Indonesia (JISI) are permitted to deposit their articles in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, and other non-commercial scholarly repositories.
Self-archiving is permitted without any embargo period.
Versions Permitted for Deposit
Authors may archive and share the following versions of their manuscripts:

The accepted manuscript (the peer-reviewed and author-accepted version)

The published version of record (the final published article)
Preprint versions may also be shared in accordance with common scholarly practice, provided that the final published version is properly cited once it becomes available.
Timing of Deposit
Articles may be deposited immediately upon publication or at any time thereafter.
The journal does not impose an embargo period on repository deposits.
Conditions for Repository Deposit
When depositing articles in a repository, authors are required to:

Clearly acknowledge Jurnal Ilmu Sosial Indonesia (JISI) as the original place of publication

Provide a complete and accurate citation of the published article

Include a direct link to the article on the journal website or its DOI, where available

Indicate the applicable license under which the article is published
Licensing
All articles published in Jurnal Ilmu Sosial Indonesia (JISI) are licensed under the
Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
This license permits copying, distribution, adaptation, and reuse of the work for any lawful purpose, provided that appropriate attribution is given and any derivative works are distributed under the same license.
Long-Term Preservation
In addition to author self-archiving, JISI ensures the long-term preservation of its published content through trusted digital archiving systems, including LOCKSS and CLOCKSS, to safeguard the integrity and continuity of the scholarly record.
Policy Review
This repository and self-archiving policy is reviewed periodically to ensure continued alignment with international standards and best practices in open-access scholarly publishing.
