Retraction Policy

Articles published in Kordinat: Jurnal Komunikasi Antar Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam (p-ISSN: 1411-6154, e-ISSN: 2654-8038) may be retracted from publication if they are found to violate the ethical publishing standards of the journal. Retraction is a mechanism for correcting the scholarly record and alerting readers to articles that contain seriously flawed or erroneous data or findings.

A published article will be considered for retraction if one or more of the following conditions are met:

  • There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, whether due to research misconduct (such as data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation) or honest error (such as miscalculation or experimental mistakes).
  • The article has been previously published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing, acknowledgment, or justification (i.e., redundant or duplicate publication).
  • The article contains confirmed instances of plagiarism or copyright infringement.
  • The research reported in the article involves unethical practices, such as violation of research ethics, data manipulation, or lack of informed consent.

The process of retraction follows the official Retraction Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) . Decisions regarding retraction are made by the Editorial Board of Kordinat: Jurnal Komunikasi Antar Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam, in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief and the publisher, to ensure transparency, fairness, and consistency with international ethical standards.

When a retraction is issued, the article’s bibliographic information (title, author list, and DOI) will be retained on the journal’s website, but the PDF file of the article will be replaced with a retraction notice stating the reasons for retraction and the date it was issued. The retraction notice will be freely accessible to all readers to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
