Pancasila Education in elementary schools faces two simultaneous challenges: strengthening students’ understanding of diversity from an early age and addressing the limitations of learning media in translating social concepts into concrete learning experiences. This study examines the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of an Adobe Animate-based animated video on the topic of “Respecting Differences” for third-grade elementary school students. The study employed a research and development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model and was conducted at SD Al-Zahra Indonesia, involving subject-matter experts, media experts, classroom teachers, and 30 students. Data were collected through interviews, validation questionnaires, user-response questionnaires, and pretests and posttests. The results indicated that the product achieved validity scores of 88% from subject-matter experts and 80% from media experts. Teacher responses indicated a high level of practicality (95.56%), while student responses were highly positive in both the small-group trial (96.1%) and the large-group trial (98.13%). Regarding effectiveness, the mean score increased from 60 on the pretest to 90 on the posttest. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test yielded a p-value of less than .001, while the normalized gain (N-gain) was 0.77, which falls within the high category. These findings suggest that contextually designed animated videos can support students’ understanding of diversity while providing an engaging medium for learning abstract social concepts. This study contributes to the application of multimedia-based learning in early-grade Pancasila Education by examining its potential to support students’ conceptual understanding of diversity.
