Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Agribusiness Journal undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of published articles.
The review process consists of the following stages:
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the Agribusiness Journal Online Journal System (OJS). The manuscript must comply with the journal's focus and scope, author guidelines, and manuscript template.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor conducts an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript is suitable for review based on its relevance, originality, completeness, and compliance with the journal's submission requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected without external review.
3. Open Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the editorial screening are assigned to two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript.
Agribusiness Journal applies an Open Peer Review process, in which the identities of the authors and reviewers are known to each other. Reviewers evaluate the scientific quality, originality, methodology, significance, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript and provide constructive recommendations.
4. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
For manuscripts requiring revision, authors are requested to revise and resubmit the manuscript according to the reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.
5. Final Similarity Check
After the manuscript has been accepted for publication, the Editorial Office conducts a final similarity check using plagiarism detection software to ensure compliance with the journal's publication ethics. Only manuscripts that meet the journal's similarity requirements proceed to the next stage.
6. Letter of Acceptance (LoA)
A Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is issued only after the manuscript has successfully passed the final similarity check and has been formally accepted by the Editorial Board.
7. Copyediting, Layout Editing, and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and final publication.
Publication Ethics
The Editorial Board is committed to conducting the peer review process in a fair, transparent, and ethical manner. Authors and reviewers are expected to uphold academic integrity and maintain confidentiality throughout the review and publication process.
