Ilmu Ushuluddin is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published by Peminat Ilmu Ushuluddin in collaboration with the Faculty of Ushuluddin UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This journal specializes in Quranic Studies, Hadith Studies, Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Mysticism, and Islamic Theology.

Ilmu Ushuluddin has been accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and the Higher Education Republic of Indonesia as a SINTA 2 academic journal (SK No. 200/M/KPT/2020).

Since 2021, Ilmu Ushuluddin has fundamentally changed, both in terms of content and technical aspects. First, Ilmu Ushuluddin only publishes all articles in English. This is conducted for the interest of a broader academic discourse after previously only to accommodate research articles of lecturers and researchers in Ushuluddin studies across Indonesia. Second, technically, IU emerges in a one-column format, which was previously two-columns. Third, IU will be published in July and December, previously in January and July.
