Ilmu Ushuluddin is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published by the Yayasan Peminat Ilmu Ushuluddin in collaboration with the Faculty of Ushuluddin of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
Ilmu Ushuluddin is a journal that has published scholarly articles over the past fifteen years. Focusing on Religious Studies, Quranic Studies, Hadith, Islamic Philosophy, and Sufism, Ilmu Ushuluddin has indirectly influenced the academic discourse in the field of religious studies for more than a decade. Below is a summary of the history of Ilmu Ushuluddin:
- Ilmu Ushuluddin journal was established and published by HIPIUS (Himpunan Peminat Ilmu Ushuluddin) in collaboration with the Faculty of Ushuluddin of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Although the journal was initiated in 2009, its first issue was published in January 2011. Since its establishment, Ilmu Ushuluddin has been committed to publishing two issues annually.
- On February 11, 2015, based on the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 12/M/Kp/II/2015, Ilmu Ushuluddin journal was recognized as an Accredited Scientific Journal with a B Accreditation status, valid for five years from the date of issuance.
- In 2020, Ilmu Ushuluddin journal received a new accreditation with SINTA 2 status by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (Decree No. 200/M/KPT/2020).
- Since 2021, Ilmu Ushuluddin has fundamentally changed, both in terms of content and technical aspects. First, Ilmu Ushuluddin will publish all articles in English. Second, it it has changed from a two-column format to a single-column format. Third, Ilmu Ushuluddin is now published in July and December, as it previously published in January and July.
- As of September 2023, the Ilmu Ushuluddin is published by Yayasan Peminat Ilmu Ushuluddin and the Faculty of Ushuluddin of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
- Currently, Ilmu Ushuluddin is indexed by several national and international indexing institutions, including Google Scholar, Garuda, Moraref, and Crossref.
