PENINGKATAN ASPEK SIKAP LITERASI SAINS SISWA SMP MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA TERPADU

This study aimed to analyze the increase of science literacy attitude of students through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study was a quasi experiment with non-equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. The sample of this study was 50 students of grade 7 in one of state junior high schools in North Lampung City during the academic year of 2014/2015. The sample was choosen through a purposive sampling. Data was collected from a likert-scale science literacy attitude test. The data was analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 22 and Microsoft Excel. The results showed that N-Gain value of experiment and control class was considered in a sufficient category (respectively 0,44 and 0,31). The result concluded that PBL model gave the proper contribution to the increasing of the students' science literacy attitude.
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan aspek sikap literasi sains siswa SMP melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent pretest dan postest control group design. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 50 siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Lampung Utara pada tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes skala sikap literasi sains yang disusun berdasarkan skala Likert. Data dianalisis menggunakan program IBM SPSS Statistics 22 dan Microsoft Excel. Hasil menunjukan bahwa nilai N-gain kelas eksperimen dan kontrol termasuk kategori cukup (0,44 dan 0,31). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL memberi kontribusi yang baik terhadap peningkatan aspek sikap literasi sains siswa.
