Abstract

The family is the fundamental unit in society and plays a significant role in building social stability and individual development. This study aims to investigate the relationship between family security, marital harmony, and the understanding of roles within the context of husband and wife, with a focus on aspects related to Islamic Sharia principles. Data for the study were collected through surveys and interviews with 500 couples from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. The results of data analysis show that family security significantly contributes to achieving harmony and peace within the family. A deep understanding of the roles of each spouse in married life, based on Islamic Sharia principles, positively influences the level of family security. Furthermore, effective communication, honesty, mutual trust, and mutual respect also play a vital role in achieving the goals of harmony in the husband and wife relationship. The findings of this study provide a clearer insight into the importance of these factors in promoting family security and guiding steps to strengthen the relationship between husband and wife based on Islamic values. These conclusions serve as a foundation for the development of intervention and education programs to enhance the quality of husband and wife relationships and, ultimately, to strengthen the family unit as a stable and harmonious social entity.
