Author Guidelines

Submission Stage

Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system. Simultaneous submissions to other journals are not permitted.

Manuscript Preparation

There is no strict limitation on the number of pages or figures. However, the manuscript should be concise and focused, with sufficient detail to ensure clarity.

The manuscript should include the following sections:

1. Title

The title should be simple, concise, specific, and informative. Avoid uncommon abbreviations and ambiguity.

2. Author Information

Include the full name(s) of all authors without academic titles (e.g., Prof., Dr.), along with institutional affiliation (department/faculty, university, full address, country), and email address.

3. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should be written in both English and Indonesian, each version comprising 150–200 words, single-spaced, in one paragraph, and without citations. It should clearly state the research purpose, methodology, and key findings. Avoid jargon and uncommon abbreviations.

Provide 3–5 keywords (in English and Indonesian) that best reflect the core topics of the article. Separate each keyword with a semicolon (;).

4. Main Text

The manuscript should be between 7,000–10,000 words, written in Studia Islamika font, size 12, single-spaced. It should include:

  • Introduction: State the objectives at the end of the section. Provide brief context, a short literature review, and identify research gaps and the novelty of the paper. Avoid listing prior studies individually; summarize by themes or methods.
  • Main Body: Structure your argument and analysis in coherent sections. Use appropriate subheadings if necessary. All Arabic terms (except proper names) should be transliterated using the Library of Congress system.
  • Conclusion: Clearly address the research objectives and summarize key findings. Highlight the contribution to the field, implications, and possible directions for future research.

5. References

A minimum of 20 references is required, with at least 40% from journal articles. Use a reference management tool (e.g., Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero). References must follow the Turabian style.

Examples of Footnotes:

  • Book: Barrie Axford, The Global System, Politics and Culture (New York: St. Martin’s Press, 1995), 13–15.
  • Journal: Benjamin Arditi, “From Globalism to Globalization: The Politics of Resistance,” New Political Science 26, no. 1 (March 2004): 1–18.

Examples of Bibliography:

  • Axford, Barrie. The Global System, Politics and Culture. New York: St. Martin’s Press, 1995.
  • Arditi, Benjamin. “From Globalism to Globalization: The Politics of Resistance.” New Political Science 26, no. 1 (March 2004): 1–18.

Manuscripts must follow these guidelines and use the provided MS Word Template.
