From there, various forms of knowledge emerged, eventually crystallizing into disciplines. One of them is hermeneutics, a field that can be simply understood as the science of interpretation. Initially, this science served as a prerequisite for deciphering religious texts that were considered final and sacred. That's why hermeneutics as a discipline is closely related to the world of theology, specifically the sub-discipline of theology that deals with methodology and authentication in the interpretation of Scripture in both the Christian and Jewish traditions. This article describes modern hermeneutics from the aspects of understanding, history, and its divisions into methodological, philosophical, and critical hermeneutics.2024-03-26T14:22:14+07:00Copyright (c) 2005 Kusmana Kusmanahttps://journal.uinjkt.ac.id/index.php/refleksi/article/view/38226Merambah Jalan Baru Studi Hadis: Tawaran Pendekatan Hermeneutika2024-03-26T14:22:14+07:00Arifuddin Ahmadarifuddin.ahmad@uin-alauddin.ac.idThe presence of hadith in every human civilization demands a thorough ability to address every issue faced by the community. This is a dialectical consequence between the development of time and the demand to adhere to religious principles. However, striving towards this goal is not without obstacles, considering that the process of compiling hadith occurred thousands of years ago with multi-complex stages. Even though nowadays, the Prophet's Hadith can be easily traced in various authenticated books like the Kutub al-Sittah, this endeavor is not conclusive; many other important dimensions need to be understood. Hence, hermeneutical studies of hadith serve as a pathway to unravel the intricacies of the documented sayings, preserved over time.2024-03-26T14:22:14+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Arifuddin Ahmadhttps://journal.uinjkt.ac.id/index.php/refleksi/article/view/38227Menguak Hadis Palsu yang Masyhur: Upaya Autentifikasi Sabda Nabi2024-03-26T14:22:15+07:00Bustamin Bustaminbustamin@uinjkt.ac.idSo far, hadith has been a theological reference to strengthen religious behavior. It is often used as motivation to foster religious enthusiasm related to the social dimension. From there emerge hadiths that are so familiar to the ears of Muslims, as they are often conveyed and directly related to social issues. However, the fame of a hadith often closes our concern to critically assess the status of the hadith. This paper attempts to critically examine the highly popular hadiths in society to see the extent of their authenticity. All of this needs to be done as an effort to place the hadith clearly and authentically and to distinguish between the words and the chain of words.2024-03-26T14:22:15+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Bustamin Bustaminhttps://journal.uinjkt.ac.id/index.php/refleksi/article/view/38228Tafsir Konsep Futuwwah: Kebajikan yang Mengagumkan2024-03-26T14:22:15+07:00Media Zainul Bahrimedia.bahri@uinjkt.ac.idIn the Qur’an, the term “futuwwah” refers to “an ideal, noble, and perfect person, one whose hospitality and generosity are endless until they have nothing left for themselves, someone who selflessly gives everything they own, including their own life, for the sake of their companions.” In the perspective of Sufi mystics, futuwwah signifies heroic generosity, praiseworthy conduct following the example of the prophets, saints, sages, companions, and lovers of God. This ideal is perfectly exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Several examples of the tradition of generosity are seen in the character of Prophet Ibrahim, who obediently followed Allah’s command to sacrifice his son for the sake of Allah.2024-03-26T14:22:15+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Media Zainul Bahrihttps://journal.uinjkt.ac.id/index.php/refleksi/article/view/38229Ruh Menurut Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah dalam Perspektif Psikologi2024-03-26T14:22:15+07:00Abdul Mujibabdul.mujib@uinjkt.ac.idThroughout history, Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah has been recognized as a Muslim intellectual figure who lived amidst the stagnation of thought, amidst the overwhelming scripturalism. Ibn Qayyim, however, unveiled this stagnation and scripturalism by unraveling the essence of human existence claimed by God Himself, namely the issue of the soul. Ibn Qayyim’s in-depth study of the soul is captured in his book titled Kitab al-Ruh. It is a document of knowledge that views the soul as a unique structure of human self compared to the body. This study examines Ibn Qayyim’s paradigm of the soul in its relevance to psychology. To what extent does Ibn Qayyim’s concept of the soul contribute to and intersect with the discourse of psychology.2024-03-26T14:22:15+07:00Copyright (c) 2024 Abdul Mujibhttps://journal.uinjkt.ac.id/index.php/refleksi/article/view/38230Pertumbuhan Tradisi Filsafat di Dunia Islam: Tafsir Historis2024-03-26T14:22:16+07:00Rubiyanah Rubiyanahrubiyanah@uinjkt.ac.idThe development of philosophy in Islam did not emerge from a vacuum. It is an accumulation of interactions from various civilizations triggered by the evolution of discourse within Islam. Theological issues certainly occupy a significant position in the religious discourse structure. However, it cannot be denied that political, cultural, and other social aspects also play a role in the continuity of discourse and philosophical tradition in Islam. This occurs due to interpretations of texts, both religious and otherwise, that are gender biased. Mainstream masculinity has hegemonized consciousness, even among women themselves. They frequently invoke religion by raising sacred symbols, masses, or groups to attempt to eliminate other groups. These conflicts often end in bloodshed. In such conditions, an interesting concept in Islamic teachings can be applied to overcome it, namely Ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood). This brotherhood has been exemplified by the Prophet and his companions.
