This article has been retracted by the Publisher based on the following reasons:
Based on information and formal clarification submitted by the authors, it was acknowledged that the article contains substantive inaccuracies in the interpretation and understanding of the content of Q.S. An-Naml verses 29–31, which have the potential to cause misinterpretation and misunderstanding among readers, particularly within the field of Qur’anic exegesis and Islamic educational studies.
Following this acknowledgment, the corresponding author formally submitted a request for retraction (retraction/unpublish) to the editorial office of the Journal of Qur’an and Hadith Studies as a manifestation of academic responsibility and commitment to research ethics.
After careful consideration, the Editorial Board and Publisher determined that maintaining the publication of this article would be inconsistent with the principles of research integrity, publication ethics, and scholarly accountability, especially given the normative and authoritative position of Qur’anic interpretation in Islamic scholarship. Consequently, the decision to retract the article was taken to safeguard academic integrity, prevent the dissemination of potentially misleading interpretations, and protect the trust of the scholarly community and the public.
This retraction is conducted in accordance with ethical standards in scholarly publishing, including but not limited to:
the obligation of authors to ensure accuracy, methodological rigor, and responsibility in Qur’anic interpretation;
the principle that errors of a substantive nature affecting interpretation and conclusions must be corrected transparently, including through retraction when necessary;
the commitment of the journal to uphold research ethics, editorial independence, and accountability to readers, in line with internationally recognized best practices such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
The review process and subsequent retraction were implemented in full compliance with the journal’s editorial policies, applicable regulations, and established procedures, emphasizing prudence (iḥtiyāṭ), academic integrity, and the prevention of broader negative impacts on the academic community and society at large.
The Publisher acknowledges the authors’ cooperation and ethical responsibility in addressing this matter. Sincere apologies are extended to readers, researchers, and practitioners for any confusion or inconvenience resulting from the publication of this article.
