Journal of Qur’an and Hadith Studies aims to advance critical and scholarly discussions on the Qur’an, tafsir, and Hadith through interdisciplinary approaches. The journal seeks to encourage original research that explores the intellectual, linguistic, and socio-historical dimensions of Qur’an and Hadith studies, as well as their relevance to contemporary Muslim thought and society.

Scope

The journal welcomes research articles, conceptual studies, and book reviews on:

  1. Qur’an and Hadith interpretation from classical to contemporary periods;
  2. Methodologies and epistemologies in Qur’an and Hadith scholarship;
  3. Linguistic, literary, and hermeneutical analysis of Qur’an and Hadith texts;
  4. The interaction between Qur’an, Hadith, and various disciplines such as theology, philosophy, law, education, and social sciences;
  5. The development of Qur’an and Hadith studies in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, the Muslim world, and the West;
  6. Comparative and contextual studies addressing modern challenges and new interpretive trends, including digital Qur’anic studies and contemporary Hadith criticism.
