Analisis Kesesuaian Penilaian Kompetensi Praktik Administrasi Perkantoran dengan Kebutuhan Dunia Kerja Pada Siswa SMK

Abstract


Assessment is the process of collecting evidence on students' learning achievements, requiring accurate data. This study aims to analyze the alignment between practical competency assessments at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bantul and the competencies required in the workforce. The study is grounded in the importance of harmonizing vocational school education systems with the real-world skills demanded in professional settings. A qualitative method was employed through interviews with relevant stakeholders, particularly the head teacher of the Office Administration vocational program at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bantul. The data were thematically analyzed to identify patterns reflecting both competency alignments and gaps. The findings indicate a notable relevance between assessed competencies and those required by industry. However, discrepancies were also identified, especially in the areas of modern technology utilization and administrative problem-solving. Nevertheless, several indicators within the assessment rubric already reflect relevant basic skills. This study recommends that assessment rubrics be collaboratively developed with broader industry partners who have formal partnerships with the school, in order to produce more contextual and applicable evaluation standards. The findings are expected to serve as a strategic reference for improving the quality of vocational school graduates, enabling them to be more adaptive and prepared for the dynamic labor market.
