Paradigma: Jurnal Kalam dan Filsafat welcomes original academic manuscripts that have not been previously published or are not under consideration elsewhere. Submissions must align with the journal's focus on theology, Islamic philosophy, religious studies, and mysticism.
As part of the submission process, authors are required to upload:
A signed statement of originality;
A plagiarism check report (with a similarity index not exceeding 20%). Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned for revision.
All sources must be appropriately cited, and references listed consistently.
1. General Requirements
Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian, Arabic, or English.
Word count: approximately 5,000–7,000 words, including references, tables, and footnotes.
Author details: full name (without academic titles), institutional affiliation, institutional address, and email
Abstracts in both English and Indonesian (100–150 words each)
Keywords (maximum of 5)
Main Text should include:
Introduction: Background, objectives, literature review, and significance
Methodology (for empirical or field-based articles)
Discussion: Findings, arguments, and analysis (figures/tables if needed)
Conclusion: Summary, implications, limitations, and suggestions
References (see Section 5 for citation style)
3. Abstract and Keywords
Abstracts must be provided in both English and Indonesian.
Clearly state the purpose, methods, results, and conclusion of the article.
Include up to five keywords relevant to the article.
4. Arabic-Latin Transliteration
Arabic terms must be transliterated based on the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs and the Minister of Education and Culture No. 158/1987 and No. 0543b/U/1987.
5. Citation and Reference Style
Authors must choose the appropriate referencing style based on their disciplinary approach:
A. Humanities Style (e.g., Islamic theology, philosophy)
Use Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition (Full Note System)
Provide full citation on the first mention in footnotes
Do not use ibid., op.cit., or loc.cit.

By submitting to Paradigma: Jurnal Kalam dan Filsafat, authors agree to license their articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license allows others to copy, distribute, and build upon the work—even commercially—provided proper attribution is given and derivative works use the same license.
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
