Muslim English Literature is a double-blind peer-reviewed open access journal published by the English Literature Department, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University of Jakarta. It specializes in Southeast Asian Muslim Literature in particular, and Muslim World Literature including US-Muslim and British-Muslim Literature in general, and is intended to communicate original research and current issues on the subject.
This journal warmly welcomes contributions from scholars of related disciplines, including Linguistics and Cultural Studies in the Muslim world. It publishes biannually (June and December)
Muslim English Literature collaborates with Asosiasi Dosen Ilmu-Ilmu Adab (ADIA) under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This association consists of all Adab and Humanities Faculties of Universitas Islam Negeri in Indonesia.This collaboration is highly important to develop and enrich scientific discussion in the study of language and literature.
Muslim English Literature has been accredited SINTA 2 by Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency SK.No.2/C/C3/KPT/2026
