Focus and Scope
Kalimatuna: Journal of Arabic Research is focused on of Arabic education. This journal published by the Arabic Education Department, Faculty of Education, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University of Jakarta.
This journal warmly welcomes contributions from students, scholars, and practitioners of Arabic education in Indonesia and around the world. All articles will be reviewed by editors before accepted for publication. All authors will take public responsibility for the content of the manuscript submitted to Kalimatuna.
The focus is to provide readers with a better understanding of Arabic instructional through the publication of articles. Specifically, this journal encompasses original research articles about:
- Alquran and Arabic language
- Arabic linguistics studies in micro and macro terms (such us phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics; sociolinguistics, anthropolinguistics, philology, and script studies)
- Balagah or Arabic stylistic (pragmatics in Arabic and 'ilm ma'āniy, rhetoric of Arabic and '˜ilm bayān, figurative style of Arabic and ˜'ilm badī')
- Language acquisitions of Arabic language
- Pedagogical Arabic instructional as a foreign language and for non-native speaker (such us strategy, approach, methods, techniques, teaching model, media and ICT for Arabic teaching)
- Policies on Arabic teaching (such us language curriculum development, language evaluation and assessment, language testing, teaching material for Arabic lessons)
