Peer Review Process

IJEE (Indonesian Journal of English Education) is a peer-reviewed journal published twice yearly since 2014. Manuscripts submitted to this journal should be written in English and address its main focus and scope, teaching and learning English as a foreign language and its related issues.

  • The journal primarily accepts original-research-based manuscripts for publication and only a small proportion of non-research papers.
  • All submitted manuscripts are subject to stages of the editorial process, including a double-blind review process.
  • Once a manuscript is submitted to the journal through an online submission process, an assigned section editor will do an initial screening to examine the eligibility of the manuscript for a full review process.
  • If it passes the initial screening, the manuscript will be blindly reviewed by two reviewers, and a third reviewer may be added in case the two reviewers have differing opinions on the review results.
  • Considering review reports by the peer reviewers, the journal editorial board will finally deliberate on the final decision, whether to accept or reject the manuscript.
