Focus and Scope
Relations: Journal of Media Studies and Public Relations is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by Pusat Informasi dan Humas (PIH), LP2M UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, dedicated to publishing original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical reviews in the fields of media studies and public relations. The journal focuses on theoretical, empirical, and applied discussions concerning communication processes, media dynamics, public engagement, institutional communication, and reputation management in contemporary society. It provides a forum for academics, researchers, and practitioners to examine how media and communication shape social interaction, organizational legitimacy, and public discourse in both conventional and digital contexts.
The journal welcomes contributions on a wide range of topics, including public relations and strategic communication, media studies, journalism, media relations, corporate and organizational communication, digital communication, social media, branding and image, communication ethics, media literacy, digital culture, communication technology, and contemporary issues in media and society. Interdisciplinary and context-based studies are especially encouraged, particularly those addressing developments in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and global communication environments, with the aim of advancing critical insight, professional practice, and scholarly debate in media and public relations.
