HUBUNGAN MEDIA SOSIAL TIKTOK SEBAGAI MEDIA KOMUNIKASI DALAM PEMILU 2024
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The development of science is in line with the development of information and communication technology that affects people's daily lives. The manifestation of the development of communication technology is social media. Politicians are also affected by the development of social media. Social media is described as two sides of a coin for political actors. On the other hand, the successful use of social media can enable positive support for political actors. However, there are pros and cons, if there is a failure in utilizing social media, it can damage the image he has. This article discusses the challenges and opportunities of social media for political actors, especially in the Tik Tok application. By using a qualitative method and by using a writing phenomology approach that looks at two phenomena, namely the phenomenon that Tiktok social media is widely used and the dissemination of political information on the 2024 election in the Tiktok application.

ABSTRAK
Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan sejalan dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang mempengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat sehari-hari. Manifestasi dari perkembangan teknologi komunikasi adalah media sosial. Politisi pun tak luput dari dampak perkembangan media sosial. Media sosial di gambarkan dengan dua sisi mata uang bagi para aktor politik. Di sisi lain, keberhasilan penggunaan media sosial dapat memungkinkan dukungan positif untuk para aktor politik. Namun, ada pro dan kontra, jika terdapat kegagalan dalam memanfaatkan media sosial dapat merusak citra yang dia miliki. Artikel ini membahas tentang tantangan dan peluang media sosial bagi para aktor politik, khususnya di aplikasi Tik Tok. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomologi tulisan yang melihat dari dua fenomena yaitu fenomena yaitu media sosial Tiktok yang banyak digunakan dan penyebarluasan informasi politik pada pemilu 2024 dalam aplikasi Tiktok.
