Author Guidelines

Virtu: Journal of Communication, Culture and Islamic Studies

General Requirements

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English and should be relevant to the focus and scope of the journal.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized as follows:

  1. Title

  2. Author(s) Name and Affiliation

  3. Abstract (150–250 words)

  4. Keywords (3–5 keywords)

  5. Introduction

  6. Method

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion

  9. References

Manuscript Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be typed in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

  • Paper size: A4.

  • Font: Arial MT, 11 pt.

  • Line spacing: 1.5 spacing.

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.

  • Length: 5,000–8,000 words, including references and appendices.

  • Page numbers should be included.

Title and Abstract

  • The title should be concise, informative, and no more than 15 words.

  • Abstracts must clearly state the purpose, method, findings, and conclusion of the study.

  • Provide 3–5 keywords below the abstract.

Citation and References

  • The journal uses APA Style (7th Edition).

  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

  • References should primarily consist of recent scholarly sources published within the last 10 years.

  • At least 80% of references should come from journal articles.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively.

  • Each table and figure must include a title and source (if applicable).

  • Images must be clear and of high resolution.
