Kontroversi Penyembelihan Ismail-Ishak Sebagai Kurban Abraham: Studi Komparatif Al-Qur'an dan Bibel
Abstract

Abstract:
The dispute over the sacrifice of Ismail and Ishak as Abraham's (Ibrahim's) offering is a controversial topic in both Islam and Christianity. This study employs a comparative analysis method to compare the two religions' views on the story. The study aims to identify different perspectives in both religions and analyze the similarities and differences in their responses to the controversy. The research will focus on three objectives: first, to examine the Islamic perspective of the sacrifice of Ismail as Abraham's offering in the Quran; second, to test the Christian perspective of the sacrifice of Ishak as Abraham's offering in the Bible; third, to compare the two religions' perspectives and analyze the differences and similarities between the sacrifice of Ismail and Ishak as Abraham's offering in the Quran and Bible. The study focuses on the different interpretations between Islam and Christianity regarding the son who was sacrificed and the purpose of Allah's command to Abraham to sacrifice his son. The study uses credible sources of information, including verses from the Quran and Bible from renowned Islamic scholars and Christian religious leaders. The findings show that despite the different interpretations between Islam and Christianity, and even within Islam itself, regarding the sacrifice of Abraham's son, both religions value the significance of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim and his devotion to Allah. The research results could make a positive contribution in addressing the controversy surrounding the sacrifice of Ismail or Ishak as Abraham's offering and strengthening interfaith relations.
