Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Dosen Dalam Melanjutkan S3 Dengan Metode Principal Component Analysis (Studi Kasus: Program Studi SI/TI FST UIN)

Abstract

The development of Information System and Informatics Engineering Department since built on 2000 and 2001, has show that there are changing in many fields, such as the employees, the lecturers, the students. According to global information that makes them has a goal in 2015, will be International Islamic Departments,  so they have to improve everythings that are component of department. The lectures as one of important component that delivery the material of subjects to the student should develop their selves by taking doctoral degree. The lecturer that wants to get doctoral degree must have several consideration to choose which university that they will get in. Getting knowledge about the reasons to choose university so this research is about knowing factors that influence the lecture to choose university using Principal Component Analysis. The factors are defined as university reputation, living cost, tuition, etc. The result is there are three new factors that consists of cost, the easiest to be graduated, and the university.
