Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Pembelian Barang (Studi Kasus: PT. Tiara Royale pada Departemen Purchasing and Store Order)

Abstract


Purchasing activity is an attempt by man to deliver the goods produced by manufacturers to consumers who need to obtain services in the form of money according to the price. PT. Tiara Royale, established in 1969, is a company that provides, organizing events both formal and non-formal education in providing a professional catering service and exclusive. The company has a computerized system that had been centered in the Department of Purchasing and Store Order to request the procurement of goods, but running system at Tiara Royale  still has many weaknesses that caused the company's performance to be slow down and data processing system is difficult in accessing some of  application menu. Because it often errors when accessed. When employees want to access and print document, the application did not respond to desired command. The report presentation of application takes a long time in processing recapitulation statement and stock of goods were less accurate. To support purchase of goods on system, it need to be made of information systems that can provide convenience, so the accurate information is produced in a timely and data processing can be run more effectively. In developing this system, authors used waterfall development methodology with strategies in system analysis and design, and Unified Modeling Language (UML) as tools in modeling system. With Purchase Goods Information System proposed was expected to provide convenience in data processing at the Department of Purchasing and Store Order at PT. Tiara Royale that includes input processes, transaction, check, print reports and graph reports.
