Socio Historica: Journal of Islamic Social History is a peer-reviewed academic journal that disseminates original research and literature studies in Islamic social history. The journal provides a scholarly forum for historians, researchers, academics, and observers concerned with Muslim societies and their historical transformations.
Its principal orientation is social and cultural history, with particular attention to religious practices, everyday experiences, cultural production, social movements, political change, collective memory, and interactions among Muslim communities across different geographical and chronological settings.
The journal focuses on Islamic social and cultural history and on historical inquiry that explains the lived experiences of Muslim individuals, groups, institutions, and communities.
The journal welcomes studies of everyday life, religious practices, cultural expressions, socio-political dynamics, social movements, intellectual networks, gender, urban and rural Muslim societies, material culture, collective memory, heritage, Islamization, transregional connections, and methodological developments in social history.
