GAMBARAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT ANTI TUBERKULOSIS PADA PENDERITA TUBERKULOSIS SELAMA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract


Abstract. Indonesia is included in the category of countries that have the third highest number of tuberculosis (TB) cases in world. Compliance with tuberculosis sufferers during treatment is important for the success of TB therapy. Apart from having a worsening impact on TB conditions, the COVID-19 has also affected the level of patient compliance during treatment due to activity restrictions. This research was conducted to determine the description of compliance with taking anti-tuberculosis medication (OAT) in patients during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Koja Regency Health Center. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional. The population used was patients with category I treatment. The instruments used a demographic questionnaire and the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8. The results on medication compliance for tuberculosis sufferers with category I treatment were high 19.7%, moderate  46.2%, and low 34.2%. Compliance with taking medication with the characteristics of tuberculosis sufferers, 50% of women, 100% of the elderly, 61.5% of elementary school, long distance to health services to 54.7%, low family support to 47.3%, and the role of health workers was good to 49%. To increase compliance, officers health can provide education via telehealth and attention to targets based on the characteristics of respondents
