Uji Validitas Konstruk Alat Ukur Diabetes Quality Of Life (DQOL)
Abstract
Abstract
Quality of life is a concept that related with life satisfaction according to culture, life experience, and value which is used to explaining someone’s life aspects generally or specifically with an illness, for example Diabetes Mellitus Type 2. DM2 affects health condition decreasing and overall QoL. Diabetes Quality of Life (DQoL) is a measurement of QoL DM2 specific recommended by previous researchers to measure QoL of DM2 patient. But, this scale need to be adjusted with research sample characteristics in Indonesia. This research was conducted to testing construct validity of DQoL scale which has been adapted with Indonesian culture. Research sample was 161 elderly from a certain hospital in Bogor. Data was collected with non-probability sampling technique. Result showed that overall DQoL has unidimensional items. So that, DQoL is important for improving QoL of DM2 patients.
