Metode Alternatif untuk Mendeteksi Bias Respons Social Desirability pada Item-item Tes Kepribadian
Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang metode untuk mendeteksi kerentanan item self-report inventory terhadap bias respons social desirability. Metode analisis faktor dengan pendekatan Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) diajukan sebagai salah satu metode alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi social desirability pada level item. Dalam pendekatan CFA, social desirability dimodelkan sebagai suatu faktor. Item-item yang dinilai rentan dari hasil rating dijadikan kriteria sebagai item yang bias dan apakah analisis model CFA mampu membuktikan bahwa item-item tersebut tergolong ke dalam satu faktor yang sama yaitu faktor social desirability. Dari contoh analisis yang dilakukan terhadap hasil pengukuran salah satu inventori kepribadian, metode CFA berhasil mendeteksi item-item yang rentan terhadap bias respons social desirability.
