PERBANDINGAN PEMODELAN ELEVASI TOP ZONA BEDROCK DENGAN METODE ORDINARY KRIGING DAN SEQUENTIAL GAUSSIAN SIMULATION

Abstract


Zona bedrock tersusun dari batuan dasar segar dan masif yang menjadi zona batas penambangan (bluezone) karena tidak mengandung mineral ekonomi. Penaksiran secara tepat terhadap posisi horizon bagian atas zona bedrock sebagai batas luar zona bijih pada pemodelan endapan nikel laterit harus dilakukan untuk mendapatkan deskripsi tubuh bijih yang optimal. Metode interpolasi yang sering digunakan saat ini adalah metode ordinary kriging. Metode interpolasi kriging memiliki karakteristik negatif berupa smoothing effect. Metode yang sering digunakan untuk mengurangi smoothing effect dari metode ordinary kriging adalah metode sequential gaussian simulation. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperkirakan model horizon bagian atas zona bedrock dengan menggunakan metode ordinary kriging dan sequential gaussian simulation. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari pengumpulan data, menentukan elevasi top zona bedrock, analisis statistik deskriptif, analisis geostatistik, perkiraan elevasi top zona bedrock dengan metode ordinary kriging dan sequential gaussian simulation dan analisis validasi model. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan model elevasi top zona bedrock ordinary kriging yang memberikan model yang smooth, sedangkan hasil realisasi SGS mampu memberikan gambaran heterogenitas elevasi berdasarkan data sampel elevasi top zona bedrock. Hasil analisis error terhadap sampel data elevasi top zona bedrock juga menunjukkan hasil E-type simulasi SGS lebih baik dibandingkan ordinary kriging.
