Perancangan SMS (Short Message Service) Gateway Server untuk Sistem Peringatan Dini
Abstract
Nowadays, information and communication technology has been grown fast, short message service (SMS) as a
communication technology becomes one of the most popular choices to communicate using text media. The technology could become an alternative for sensor data and warning status delivering. Generally, the delivering of sensor data in telematic system using current signals and needs a special tower or radar as receiver and controller, and such an infrastructure needs a lot of cost. The SMS technology could be implemented in early warning system which will be developed using small cost. The information was quoted from the proposal of early warning system development of the environment quality of Jakarta’s Bay that was made under cooperation between BPLHD DKI Jakarta and P3TL-BPPT. There are two different systems in early warning system if it was seen from system infrastructure side, those are sensor system and server system. In this research, the researcher only develop server system, as a data reciever gate from both the sensor and the special user or agent, and also it informs the status and parameter value of the waterworks that already given to all user by internet and SMS media. The early warning system monitors the quality of waterworks which is the threshold and the parameter have been appointed by the environment agency. The tools that being used was Java, PHP, and MySQL. Those tools are chosen not only Open Source reason, but also its reliability. The development method that have been used was RAD, because the implementation of sms gateway server technology used oftenly in many sectors, and the writer only develop the method that was appropriate for the early warning system importance. The system was built based on the proposal of early warning system development of the environment quality of Jakarta’s Bay that was made under cooperation between BPLHD DKI Jakarta and P3TL-BPPT. The result of this research expected could give a contribution to the government agencies above in handling the degradation of waterworks in Jakarta’s Bay.
