Pengembangan Instrumen Kebutuhan Informasi Berbasis Demografis, Geografis, Psikografis, dan Behavior
Abstract
Information needs identification is an integral part of the routine activities involved in meeting the information requirements of library users. However, there are instances where users' information needs remain unmet. This study aims to develop an information needs instrument based on market segmentation as an effort to optimize the information needs survey process. The research involves tracing relevant and up-to-date literature sources to address the research objectives. Based on the analysis, the development of such an instrument is crucial to ensure the research process is effective and efficient. The steps involved in designing the instrument include identifying variables and indicators, selecting the research design, developing the instrument, and conducting data analysis. Libraries can implement the instrument development by conducting pilot testing and obtaining research outcomes based on demographic, geographic, psychographic, and behavioral aspects of the users.
