Presidential Power’s Limitation to Emergency Provisions in Indonesia

Muhammad Bahrul Ulum holds Bachelor of Laws from the University of Jember, Indonesia, and Master of Laws from Osmania University, India. He is currently a lecturer of law at the University of Jember. Since 2017, he has joined the Centre for Human Rights, Multiculturalism, and Migration (CHRM2), a research centre at the University of Jember. His research interests lie in the areas of human rights, constitutional law, and international economic law, and his work focuses on the intersection of politics, pluralism, and globalization. He has held research and visiting positions at the Graduate School of International Development, Nagoya University, Japan, and the Faculty of Law, Airlangga University, Indonesia. He presented several papers at the international conferences and has published his selected articles in the Constitutional Review, the Journal of Indonesian Legal Studies, Padjadjaran Journal of Law, and others.
