THE INFLUENCE OF PARENTING PATTERN ON LANGUAGE ACQUISITION OF CHILDREN 1 AND 4 YEARS OLD
Abstract
This study aims to determine language acquisition in children with similar democratic parenting patterns in subject 1 with the initials Khr (1 year 7 months) and subject 2 with the initials Syf (4 years 8 months) from different parents through the analysis of the results of observations made by researchers. This research uses descriptive qualitative through a research approach with an observation-interview process and note-taking analysis techniques to find out the phonology, morphology, and syntax elements contained in the two research subjects and to determine the competence possessed in acquiring first language towards parentalparenting. the same. Hasil research obtainedfrom both subjects, namely in subject 1 found 42 utterances with an intensity of 1-3 words based on the dominant complexity of 1 word speech, covering the categories of noun, verb, adjective, adverb, numeralia, pronomina, and fatis categories. In subject 2, 70 utterances with an intensity of 1-7 words based on the dominant complexity of 2-word speech include the categories of nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, numeralia, pronouns, fatis categories, conjunctions, and prepositions. Furthermore, In both subjects it was found that the ability in the speech used was quite obvious inits phrasing, both vowels and consonants. Thus, democratic parenting, such as inviting children to learn by playing, talking, telling stories, interacting actively and communicatively can have a positive influence on children's language acquisition.
