ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SPASIAL SISWA PADA MATERI TRANSFORMASI GEOMETRI

Abstract


This research aims to determine the overall level students’ and analyze and describe students’ spatial literacy abilities as a whole and each indicator in the geometric transformation materials. The type of research used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. This research used a 100 students of class XII Science as a sample. The instrument used consisted of a written test with 9 questions in a description format to measure students' spatial literacy ability and interviews. The results obtained indicate that: 1) students' spatial literacy ability are in the moderate category, but the average value are still far below the standard of minimum completeness score. 2) In visualization aspect, the average acquisition of this indicator is higher than other indicators, where some students are able to sketch spatial objects through visual images based on contextual problems accurately and completely. 3) In reasoning aspect, most students still do not understand geometric transformation concepts well, so they cannot relate concepts and spatial object relationships and use them in calculations. Students also tend not to use the completion process appropriately.4) In communication aspect, there are still many students who are not able to express their ideas related to spatial object relationships correctly.
