Dr Hendun Abd Rahman Shah is a senior lecturer and was a Deputy Dean (Research & Innovation) at the Faculty of Syariah & Law, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). She graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with a bachelor of laws (LLB) in 2003 and a Master of Comparative Law (MCL) in 2004. She joined USIM as a tutor in 2005 and later was offered to further her study for a doctorate degree at the Faculty of Law, University of Birmingham, England United Kingdom. She obtained her doctor of philosophy (Ph.D) in 2013 and since then becomes a senior lecturer in USIM. She has been called to the Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in February 2005. Dr Hendun has also been accredited as a certified Mediator by the Malaysian Mediation Centre (MMC) in 2015 and the Accord Group Australia in 2018. Her areas of interest are Public International Law, particularly on International Peace, Security and Transborder Crimes such as Piracy, Terrorism and Illegal Immigrant; Comparative Laws (Law & Shariah) including Woman & Child’s Rights and Mediation and Sulh. Apart from that, she is also interested in exploring the field of Legal Education and Foresight Studies.
