Instrumen pengukuran yang digunakan adalah Diabetes Quality of Life (DQoL), Multidimensional Health Locus of Control Form-C (MHLC-C), Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R), dan Multidimensional Diabetes Questionnaire (MDQ). Data dianalisa dengan teknik regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh bersama yang signifikan dari health locus of control, optimisme, dan dukungan sosial terhadap quality of life pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2 pada lansia.
