Pengaruh trait Kepribadian (Personality) Dan Dukungan Sosial Terhadap Risk Taking Behavior Pada Pendaki Gunung

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of variable trait of personality and social support for risk- taking behavior on the mountaineers in Jabodetabek. Sample of 204 mountaineers in Jabodetabek taken by accidental sampling technique. The instrument used in this study there are three scales, the scale of personality traits, social support scale and the scale of risk-taking behavior. Test the validity of measurement tools using techniques confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). While the analysis of data using multiple regression techniques. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence on the personality trait variable, and the scale of social support on risk-taking behavior on the mountaineers in Jabodetabek. The magnitude of the effect of all independent variables on the risk-taking behavior is by 28.1%, while the rest influenced by other variables outside of this study. While the results of the analysis of the proportion of the variance of each variable separately, was found the greatest contribution to the risk-taking behavior is honesty-humility, extraversion, conscientioussnness, the personality trait of variables, and the reassurance of worth, opportunity for nurturance of social support variables. This study will get better results when using a wider population, in order to get richer data and can compare with the factors that can be observedspeckle.

 

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel trait kepribadian & dukungan sosial terhadap risk taking behavior pada pendaki gunung di Jabodetabek. Sampel berjumlah 204 pendaki gunung di Jabodetabek yang diambil dengan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdapat tiga skala, yaitu skala trait kepribadian, skala dukungan sosial dan skala risk taking behavior. Uji validitas alat ukur menggunakan teknik confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan teknik multiple regression. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari variabel trait kepribadian, dan skala dukungan sosial terhadap risk taking behavior pada pendaki gunung di Jabodetabek. Besarnya pengaruh seluruh variabel independen terhadap risk taking behavior adalah sebesar 28,1% sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian ini. Sementara hasil analisis proporsi varians masing-masing variabel secara terpisah, ditemukan sumbangan yang paling besar terhadap risk taking behavior adalah honesty-humility, extraversion, conscientioussnness, dari variabel trait kepribadian, dan reassurance of worth, opportunity for nurturance dari variabel dukungan sosial. Penelitian ini akan mendapatkan hasil yang lebih baik apabila menggunakan populasi yang lebih luas, agar mendapatkan data yang lebih beragam dan dapat membandingkan dengan faktor yang belum bisa diteliti.
